Multi-Unit or Multi-Family residential is a classification of housing where multiple separate housing units for residential inhabitants are contained within one building.
At Klein we have designed successful multi-unit developments for a specialist supplier of social housing and this work continues. Also we have been involved in a significant amount of this housing typology work through our involvement in the retirement sector.

• Erin Park Serviced Suites - 2005 - 2006
  This is a 2-storey building accommodating 32 serviced suites in two wings joined by community areas; lobby, dining, lounges and library. The building connects to the existing Erin Park Resthome. The exterior is clad with brick veneer, weatherboards, and a profiled metal roof. Close

• Glenburn Serviced Suites - 2005 - 2006
  This is a 3-storey building accommodating 55 serviced suites in two wings angled to face street frontages on two sides.  The building includes community areas, lobby, dining, gym, lounges and library. Close
• Grace Joel Retirement Village - 2000 - 2001
  Conversion of existing hospital site into an integrated retirement village incorporating 50-bed hospital, 50-bed nursing home, 150 serviced apartments and independent villas. Close
• Kaitaia Retirement Village - 2004
  Masterplan of existing and adjacent sites to accommodate a retirement village and expanded existing hospital. Close
• Merivale Resthome - 2004
  Extensive renovations and development masterplan for existing site involving the retention of existing resthome facility with various apartment extensions. Close
• North Shore Retirement Village - 2002 - current
  This 270 apartment, integrated retirement village was designed for a challenging 18000m2 site adjacent to North Shore Hospital. Close
• Pinesong Building C - 2006
  New apartment building of 6 levels with a total of 28 apartments, which is linked with a basement carpark and above ground link to other facilities on site. Close
• Pinesong Retirement Village - 2003 - current
  Pinesong is an integrated retirement village on a 10 ha waterfront site in Greenbay, Auckland.  The village comprises 310 total securities in a variety of accommodation mixes. Close
