The Buckland Road Community Dental Clinic opened in January 2009 and is the first of a series of community based Oral Health Hubs for Counties Manukau. It serves the oral hygiene requirements of the local community as well as providing free regular dental care to school children.
The facility has been designed to maintain a separation between the adult and young patients from its entrance and waiting areas, general circulation and treatment zones. The building has a central spine that separates 2 large clinical spaces, store rooms, x-ray facilities and sterilisation room. There is also a sedation room, adjoining recovery area, shared laboratory and separate staff support zone.
