The Manukau Superclinic was commissioned in 1997. It was an innovative development to provide a purpose-built ambulatory care centre serving the South Auckland population. It has a range of specialist outpatient clinics.
This expansion project included new modules for:

- Womens Health
- Urology
- Hand Therapy
- Breast Clinic
- Staff administration area
- 28 Space haemodialysis unit
