Managing Director Rachael Rush recently had the opportunity to join a panel of incredibly talented and experienced architects and designers to help judge the in the Spatial category for this years Best Design Awards. The judging took place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of August and was held at AUT's city campus.
The Best Design Awards are the largest Design awards in Australasia showcasing design excellence across graphics, digital, moving image, spatial and product design. Along with three special awards, the Public Good Award, Value of Design and Toitanga, The Best Design Awards is part of the Designers Institute of New Zealand's (DINZ) programmes.
It was a great honour to receive a Gold Pin for our Tiaho Mai Acute Mental Health Unit project at last year's event, and a privilege to be invited to be a judge this year. "It was an incredibly rewarding opportunity, while a challenging one. There were so many excellent entries, each with their own strengths. I really enjoyed the sharing of different perspectives between the judges and the opportunity to step away from the day to day work and celebrate design for three days!"
