Michael Lawler

Michael is an expert in his field. In more than 20 years at Klein, Michael has built an enviable reputation for the design and delivery of healthcare projects. His ability to comprehend both the big picture and the finer details provides clarity and direction to complex projects.

As a Director since 2009, Michael provides leadership and wisdom across the office. His vast skill set enables him to maintain a whole system overview of healthcare campus requirements, from master and departmental planning, architectural, seismic and services requirements of buildings, right through to the technical requirements for specialist medical equipment.

Michael has successfully delivered many of Klein’s most notable projects. But more than this, Michael’s true expertise has developed over more than 25 years of Klein commitment to health projects in New Zealand and his specialist skillset with complex health environments including operating and endoscopy suites, radiology and interventional suites, radiotherapy bunkers and laboratories. Recent award- winning projects include the Burwood Hospital Redevelopment, Intra Catheterisation Suite and Middlemore Hospital Laboratory.

Passion for health aside, Michael also brings professionalism, project management experience, in-depth understanding of commercial realities and, of course, client expectations.
