Michelle Smit

As an Architectural Technician, Michelle produces working drawings and documentation for new builds and upgrades across a variety of aged care and healthcare projects. She develops and manages 3D models using REVIT, AutoCAD and dRofus BIM software, as well as liaising with clients, consultants and construction professionals at all levels.

Before joining Klein, Michelle worked as a code compliance assessor with council building inspectors, assessing signoff for building consents, which has helped equip her with a first-rate understanding of the Building Act and hands-on experience in the management of consent applications. As a technician she has worked on a number of major projects in Christchurch and Auckland.

Bringing 18 years' experience to her role, Michelle is known for her attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to coordinate all the disciplines to achieve a successful built outcome. She adds to this her passion for quality healthcare environments, and for translating design ideas into detailed drawings that create better health outcomes for communities around Aotearoa New Zealand.
