Yen Chen

Yen joined Klein as an Architectural Graduate in 2016 and was made an Associate in 2021. Specialising in healthcare design and master planning, he works as project architect, liaising with clients and consultants on all aspects of the project and planning, including assisting with business cases development. Yen's experience includes the Christchurch Hillmorton Mental Health specialist services unit, master planning for Kaitaia and Whangarei hospitals, and concept design for the Whangarei hospital redevelopment.

Yen is known for his strengths in data analytics, architectural visualisation, concept development, and stakeholder communication. He draws on these skills to give clients the confidence to make informed decisions about a project as it proceeds, enabling better understanding of solutions, options and the various outcomes they bring. Attuned to the needs of health professionals and readily able to interpret clinical data, Yen adds value at all stages of a project, addressing challenges with innovative solutions.
