Auckland Radiology Group (ARG) approached Klein in 2022 to develop a new flagship facility and head office for ARG on leased premised at 99 Remuera road, a high profile corner site at the intersection of St Marks Road and Remuera Road.
Klein were engaged to provide concept design for the base building and subsequently full design services for the tenancy fitout which consist of clinical hot floors on levels 1 and 2, with staff administration and consultancy suites on level 3.
Design drivers for the vision and aspirations for the new facility include:
- A purpose-built flagship building for ARG on a prominent corner site
- A patient-centric approach
- A high-end and unique entry experience with cafe style waiting areas for families within an engaging and calm environment
- Patient flows which minimise crossovers between modalities, with a “hub & spoke” type arrival and circulation design
- Private, intimate sub-waits associated with each modality zone and private patient change areas
- A quality working environment to maximise staff engagement and satisfaction
- Two-level car parking and under cover dropoff for a seamless, calming patient arrival experience, with separation of staff and visitor parking
