North Shore Retirement Village
Concept Design

Klein was engaged by a private client to undertake masterplanning and architectural feasibility for a contemporary luxury retirement village in North Shore, Auckland.  The key design approach is to optimise the site with medium to high rise buildings, thereby allowing plenty of green spaces and community facilities at the ground levels.

The proposal is for a bespoke retirement living community with independent living apartments, combined with care facility and high-quality on-site amenities for residents, including retail and a wellness centre.  The development proposes an extensive podium-based landscape context, providing residents with immediate north-facing garden amenity.
