Selwyn Heights is a retirement village on a 5.5 ha site adjacent to the historic Pah Farm site in Hillsborough, Auckland. This scheme was a multiple stage development plan comprised of 360 units of varying tenures, a 60 bed hospital and extensive residential facilities. Recently, since the project was completed, the site has been acquired by Metlifecare and renamed the Parkside Village.
Klein successfully completed the work to gain a private plan change for the site and a comprehensive masterplan. Following from this Klein has completed all phases of new building on site.
- Phase 1 - McElroy Apartments comprising of 26 Independent Living Units. Completed in 2009.
- Phase 2 - MacDonald Centre, 44 Independent Living Units and the Community Facilities including Glazed Entry Lobby, Cafe, Kitchen, Wellness Centre and Day Spa, Hydrotherapy Area, Function Room, Library, Bar Facility, Theatre, Hobbies Room, and Bowling Green. Completed in 2011.
- Phase 3 - Gowing and Kayhawke Apartments, 45 independent living units comprising of two buildings linked with a podium and basement carpark.
- Phase 4 - Reeves Building, 56 independent living units and community facilities including swimming pool and spa, gym, dining, commercial kitchen, retail, administration and offices.
- Phase 5 - Caughey Building - independent living units - based on Korma Rd. Completed in 2016.
